A visit to Bali would not be complete without a tour Bali's capital of Denpasar.
An old trading centre, it's name means "east of the market". It is headquarters for the Government as well as the islands principal Banks and Hospitals.
Denpasar is one of Indonesia's most fully integrated and tolerant cities, with separate kampungs of Bugis, Indians, Arabs, Chinese, Madurese and Javanese.
A former Brahman-class city, Denpasar has grown so much over the years that it is now home to more than 370,000 people. Its citizens consist of Badung's landed gentry, the priest class, and the new Balinese bureaucratic elite, as well as Indonesians drawn from other islands to this economic magnet.
This tour takes you to the bustling, colourful traditional Balinese markets, Bali Museum ......where you can delve into Bali's historical culture, Monumen Perjuangan Rakyat Bali ( War Museum) with realistic miniature displays of all the wars won and lost in Bali.
Of course this tour would not be complete without a visit to a local department store where you just may pick up a bargain !
